Shipping Policy

** Free Shipping (Only in India)
** Jayalakshmi offers FREE , reliable shipping to all cities across India and states all over India except certain remote areas where FedEx or DTDC doesn’t provide it’s service.
** Free Domestic orders (within India) would be processed within 24 hours (Except Sundays/Holidays) and shipping will be done through either FedEx or DTDC.
** Product will be delivered within 3-8 working days. we will send you the Airway number/docket number through Mail and you can also check the same in your ‘My Orders’ page.

Please Note :
** We are not responsible for any delay caused by any unforeseen and unavoidable time lags by the courier companies in delivering the parcels to the customer, or if the customer is not available at the time of delivery.
** If you wish to purchase multiple items and ship them to two or more different addresses, please place them as separate orders and provide the different shipping address.
** The courier will attempt delivery twice at your specified shipping address,before they inform us that your package is not deliverable.

Return Policy

** Item was defective
** Item was damaged during the Shipping
** Products was / were missing
** Wrong item was sent by the Seller.
** Buyer need to raise the refund request within 10 days from the date of product delivery.
** Please note 10 days after the delivery of the product the return Option will not be available against the individual order.
** Return will result in refund of money in the form of store credit which would be valid for 90 days from the date of issue.
** This amount will be Credited in the form of Store credit to the users account, only after the receipt and verification of the product by Jayalakshmi and only if it meets our Return Policy Conditions .
** Jayalakshmi Reserves the right to reject the claim of any Return Request raised by the buyer.
** In cases where Return Request is accepted by Us and on arrival of product in our warehouse we determine that the product is damaged due to :
** Damages due to misuse of product by the buyer.

About Us :
It all began in the year 1947 When the first store was opened by late Mr. Narasimha Kamath on Cloth Bazaar Road, Cochin (adjacent to Broadway) namely Jayalakshmi Stores. The store was a mere 400 Sq.ft with a maximum of one customer seating capacity at a given point of time. Then with a lot of determination and hard work of Mr. Narayana Kamath, Mr. Govind Kamath and Mr. Satish Kamath (Sons of late Mr. Narasimha Kamath) in 1997 our current store was opened in Cochin on MG. Road namely Jayalakshmi (near to Shenoys junction).

  1. Very poor customer service , when we complaint it to the floor managers, they too didn’t even bother to mind it , just said that the staff is less we came out from there and purchased from Seemati. The sales girls name was Saritha.

  2. I am a regular customer of Jayalakshmi silk. Today I had visited your Trivandrum shop in connection with my daughters marriage. Now I find that the service has gone down badly. The worst thing is that rearranging our parked vehicles. Customer have to wait for long for getting their vehicles back. No responsible persons are available. Because of this visit you again is doubtful.

  3. My mother was gifted with a Saree of Rs.7280 and it got damaged after the second use. We bought it from Calicut showroom and they misbehaved with us. I need a solution at the earliest.

  4. I bought a new soft silk Saree worth Rs.7800 and it got damaged after first use because of material and not because of my fault. Please respond asap.

    1. Information available from the Official Website :

      A return request can be rejected due to following reasons.
      ** Damages due to misuse of product by the buyer.
      ** Any product that is returned without original packaging, and all other items originally included with the product/s delivered.
      ** Garments, which is ‘made to order’ on customer’s request.
      ** Clothes used (other than for trial), altered, washed, soiled or damaged in any way.
      ** Color running or fading due to product being washed in a wrong manner.
      ** Color running or fading due to product being washed along with other bright color items.

      In such an event the product would be returned back to the customer without any replacement or Store Credits.

      Failure to notify Us of any defects in the product/s at the time of delivery of the product/s and/or within 10 days from the date of delivery and the same product/s will not be replaced and will not be eligible for a refund or store credits.

      If Jayalakshmi has suspicion or knowledge, that any of its buyers are involved in any activity that is intended to provide claims or information that is false, misleading or not genuine, then We may while reserving its rights to initiate civil and/or criminal proceedings against member may also at its sole discretion suspend, block, restrict, cancel the Display Name of such buyer.

      In all cases, return shipping cost has to be born by the customer.

  5. I have been given a gift voucher for Rs 10000/- by one of my best friend. I approached Trivandrum retail shop for exchanging in to small values, they did not agree. They wanted full purchase for Rs 10000/- at a time. I was not asking to pay me cash, only was asking to change in to smaller values, but the staffs were behaving such a way that I was demanding some thing irregular and they have treated me very badly. Being a reputed textile firm the behavior of Trivandrum staffs were not so encouraging. They were treating such a way that I was approaching for a favor from them. In all other textile industries it is very well changed in to small values. I was a valuable customer for Jayalakshmi Silks, that was the reason my friend gifted this voucher. Hope will consider my request for favorable decision.

    My wife purchased a Churidar Material(Item Code 3000921160007) on 5.1.17.vide Bill No.399359 from Jayalakshmi Cochin Branch. After returning home(Kolkata) she found that there are insufficient cloth.(lower and upper part measuring about 1.9 meter each). Now she is claiming suitable replacement which should be delivered to our following address at Company’s cost.

  7. I have purchased clothes worth Rs 6235/- on 16/12/16 wide your bill no.364597,364599,364600,364601,364602 and paid the amount by my SBI credit card. I have swiped twice the card as the bill did not generate in my first swipe. But my bank details shows bill amount has been paid twice and not yet reimbursed till date. Kindly look into the matter and reimbursed the amount.
