About Bhagyanagar Gas

** Bhagyanagar Gas Limited (BGL) was incorporated to implement CGD projects in Andhra Pradesh. As on 31st March, 2014, BGL was operating 29 CNG stations including 24 Daughter stations, 2 Online stations and 3 Mother stations.

** Further, BGL supplied PNG to over 2100 domestic, 34 commercial and 2 industrial consumers in its authorized geographical region. BGL is also catering to fuel requirement of around 20,650 CNG vehicles operating in the region. GAIL has 22.5% stake amounting to investment of Rs. .01 Crores in the Company, along with HPCL as equal partner.

** Total revenue of the Company for 2013-14 was Rs.104.99 Crores and Profit After Tax was Rs.14.99 Crores.

PNG Feasibility Criteria of BGL

Technical feasibility for laying MDPE:
** Should have provision to lay MDPE pipelines and shall have free access in case of any emergency.
** The connectivity should not pose any hindrance or safety hazard.

Narrow lanes, water logging areas, under developed areas etc. are technically not feasible for laying of the pipeline.

Technical feasibility for installation of GI:
** The support for the pipeline shall be a permanent structure like concrete wall. The pipeline cannot hang after installation.
** The pipeline route shall be such that it enters kitchen directly. It cannot pass through the living or other rooms.
** The pipeline shall enter the kitchen only through vertical walls.
** The pipeline shall be installed such that it is freely accessible in case of emergency.

General feasibility criteria:
** Regulator shall be installed on a permanent structure like concrete wall.
** Meter shall be installed at open to atmosphere place at a minimum distance of 300 mm from any electric point/cable.
