I happened to purchased, few weeks back, a WIPRO Garnet Emergency Bulb 9W 6500K … Cat. NE9001 from a retail shop in
Lohar Chawl, Mumbai-400 002 for Rs 550/=. The shopkeeper tested the bulb for me and also wrote by black marker pen the warranty on the bulb’s plastic part. The Bulb’s cartoon bears a barcode 8901399090011
Once I installed the bulb in my flat, it worked fine for an hour or so and once I switched off the current, I noticed that after a few minutes the bulb automatically started to give dimmed light, I again switched ON the current and it started with full brightness. After few minutes once again we switched-off the current and the bulb was OFF for a few minutes and then automatically re-started with dimmed-light. It was bit strange for us.
Thereafter, I changed the location of the bulb and installed it in our another flat but the behavior of the bulb remains the same. Even though the general current in the flat is running well but the bulb’s dimmed-light automatically gets ON when the switch of the Bulb is OFF and flat has electricity as usual.
unfortunately the bill issued by the petty shopkeeper is lost by me and hence we are approaching you to arrange a replacement bulb, as whenever I am passing from Mumbai the petty shop we found as “closed”, perhaps it has gone out of business.
It will be appreciated if your Sector-19, Vashi, New Mumbai office is instructed to arrange a replacement bulb at its convenience.
Else I can pass by to your Vashi – New Mumbai office to handover the under-warranty bulb and get a replacement.
