Are any documents required in order to use the outpatient services from MediBuddy?
You will be required to carry a copy of the confirmation e-mail while going for your health check or consultation. For ordering medicines, you will be required to upload a copy of the prescription and show the original upon delivery or prescription pick-up.

How to search for an outpatient service on MediBuddy?
Simply click on the icon for your chosen service, choose your city and enter the details in the search box to narrow down your search.

How does one search for a preferred service provider on MediBuddy?
After choosing an outpatient service on MediBuddy you will be able to see the list of service providers on the pane on the left. You can pick your preference from this list to filter your search. Wherever we can, we also give information on various value-added services such as breakfast, parking, wheelchair etc., to help you make an informed choice.

How should I book an appointment for a health check, consultation or order medicines online?
You can book an appointment for a service via the following steps:
** Select your service
** Choose your city
** Select the specific type of service offered in your city from the drop-down.
** You will now be able to view a list of the medical centres which provide the required service, along with the prices.
** Click Book Package, provide your details and schedule your appointment.
** Check and confirm your details
** Make your payment OR make your purchase cashless based on the domiciliary cover available to you If your chosen service is sponsored you will see it as a credit in your MediBuddy wallet

How many days in advance do I need to book an appointment?
You need to book an appointment for a service at least 2 days in advance.

Can an outpatient service be made cashless on MediBuddy?
You can make your preferred outpatient service cashless based on the domiciliary cover available to you and as per the terms and conditions as stated in your health insurance policy. Additionally, if your chosen service is sponsored, you will see it as a credit in your MediBuddy wallet and you can use the same to avail a cashless service.

How should I make a payment for an outpatient service purchased on MediBuddy?
Payment for the various services can be made as follows:
** For all services, excluding Medicines – You can make an advance payment via an online payment gateway.
** For medicines – You can make a payment upon receipt of medicines at your doorstep.

Can I purchase a service only for the beneficiaries of my health insurance policy?
All outpatient services on MediBuddy are available to everyone! Even those who are not covered under your health insurance policy can benefit from the outpatient services on MediBuddy.

Can a service request be cancelled if I do not turn up on the chosen date or due to any other unanticipated reasons?
Yes, a service request can be cancelled. Once you have booked a request, you can go to the ‘Your order’ tab on the top right hand corner and select ‘Track order’. Here you will get the option of cancelling a request.

In case of advance online payment, will I be refunded the full amount for not making an appearance on the day of the appointment?
Yes, you will be entitled to a full refund of the amount.

  6. I am an employee of Canara bank having medical insurance of Rs.4 lacs. I have enlarged prostate problem. My doctor advised biopsy of prostate after antibiotic, MRI and PSA test. I moved my request for cashless claim to mediassist on 21/08/18 morning and was advised by them to submit final bill and discharge summary for possible payment but now after discharge I have been denied payment by mediassist giving reason that biopsy procedure is not reimbursable. I am sorry but this is highly irresponsible and unexpected as a claim query that has been moved 1 day prior has been denied at the last moment. It is like blackmailing the patient telling all the very end. We will take forward this to the court and will see to it that the claim takes the right course.

  18. I have opted for a mediclaim policy which covers me and my Parents. However, premium amount is to be paid on a 3 month basis, as in, it was deducted from my DEC 2016, Jan 2017 salary and due to be deducted from Feb,2017 salary. My mother needs to undergo a uterus operation in Jan,2017. My question is, if this surgery will be covered as per this policy even though one month’s premium is due to be deducted from my Feb,1,2017 salary.

  26. I want to claim domiciliary expenses as allowed by IBA’s medical insurance policy for retired persons. I am unable to contact through the toll free number. I need certain clarifications and information about the modalities to be fulfilled in this regard. I am not getting this information any where in your web site. I also suggest here that you should have a dedicated phone number (other than your toll free number) to enable people to reach you in the matters other than their claim status.

If they are not admitted in Cashless claim, the retired employees who are ill could not submit reimbursement bills due to their inabilities.
