About Us

Incorporated in 1998, IGL took over Delhi City Gas Distribution Project in 1999 from GAIL (India) Limited (Formerly Gas Authority of India Limited).The project was started to lay the network for the distribution of natural gas in the National Capital Territory of Delhi to consumers in the domestic, transport, and commercial sectors. With the backing of strong promoters – GAIL (India) Ltd. and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.

(BPCL) – IGL plans to provide natural gas in the entire capital region . IGL continues to augment its infrastructure so as to meet the increasing demand of CNG arising out of growing number of CNG vehicles in Delhi.

The growth drivers for increase in demand of CNG are – car manufacturers coming up with CNG variants and Delhi Government’s directive making it mandatory for all LCVs operating in Delhi to run on CNG. The company is in the process of enhancing its compression capacity by adding new stations.

    I have applied for the IGL gas connection. The payment of Rs.1000/- has been made on 7th July 2020 with BP Number 1000220049. My gas connection is not turned on till now. You are requested to do the needful.

    I have received the online PNG estimated Invoice “120000391999” dated 14.05.2020 with 875.26 INR. Then, I was sent the meter reading photograph at 18.05.2020 on giving Whatsapp number for updated retail invoice. So, I have eagerly been waiting for update invoice before due date.

I, Harish Kumar Loh, residing in Flat No-58 C (first floor) DB Block, Harinagar New Delhi-110064, had applied for PNG connection on dated 27/06/2019 & paid Rs 6000 (six thousand) through cheque vide no- 358127. The same was credited to your organization (IGL) & can be verified by my bank details.
      Besides reported the matter 3 times, my PNG connection is not realised. I, request you to expedite the process of installation urgently & stop the rumours by your customer care team.
      Mr. Naushad, customer care personnel called me & assured that connection will be done within a week. It is also a false assurance as usual which I have faced previously 3 times.
      If I have to face such type of harassment before the connection then it is havoc after the connection.
      I, request you to do needful for refund my security deposit amount Rs 6000 as earlier as possible

  20. IGL Helpline Number 18001025109 is incorrect. Nobody picks up the receiver on dialing 01145195959. I have been trying for the last 10 minutes. Please provide me the WhatsApp Number for sending my IGL Meter Reading every month. I sent the reading on 9th October 2018 at WhatsApp number 9810268904 & it has not been seen.   34. I am extremely upset with your customer service. I registered for new connection on 20th April 2016 and mater installed on 22nd July 2016 and till now I haven’t received any connection. If you didn’t want to give the connection why do you deducted money from bank? I am living in C-14/8, Radio colony, Kingsway Camp, Delhi-110009. Almost all the peoples get the connection. I haven’t received the connection yet. I also made the payment by Cheque No. 543197 dated 20-04-2016 drawn on State bank Of India, I send you many mails but you replied “We have acknowledged your request.     Complaint No : 9900162485 (Dated 23-2-2016), 9900255791(Dated 25-5-2016) and 9900259218(28-5-2016) still not resolved. Customer care always done it will be done tomorrow. Can authorities tell me when that “luck tomorrow” will come. If a normal complaint cannot be solved within 3/4months, what happen about major complaint.
    I hope authorities inquire in it and get my complaint resolved tomorrow.

  57. My Ref No is 2014260437. Last evening I checked the Status Report on your site. It reads as follows:
    “Technically not Feasible. Due to unavailability of underground pipe line in your vicinity. Your request will be considered in future on completion of underground pipeline subject to receipt of digging permission”
    This is gross mis- statement. I live on first floor, B-6, Hauz Khas, New Delhi, 110016, Pipeline gas was installed on the ground floor of the same premises about 4 months ago. Installation has been intentionally not done on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors. I do not wish to record the reasons why the contractor/ his labor force did not install the pipeline on floors other than the ground floor.
    Please ensure the installation is done expeditiously under intimation to me at my email.

    1. My BP number is 4000002278. I have not received PNG on due date 16-01-19 till now. However, I have made payment on 20th January 2019 with out late payment for Rs.755.38 going through your IGL site. On enquiring customer care why your office is failing to delivered bill through email they are asking pay late payment which was not our fault. Kindly remit late fee against BP number and also intimate who is responsible for this lapse and who will pay late payment?
